Our Product Development Process

The product development process is complex, whether you’re making a new top or pair of pants. We follow three steps: Collaborate, Create, and Produce.

Collaborate

We take the time to discuss your vision, business, price points, sizing, garment manufacturing, and more. If you’re new to product development, our team will be there to answer questions.

Create

After our initial discussion, we’ll finalize your design concept and start building your garment's pattern and spec package. This includes choosing the right trims, fabrics, stitches, and more. Our team will conduct fit sessions and tweak your pattern if necessary. Once we finish your pattern and spec package, your garment is ready for production.

Produce

Columbus Apparel Studio is also a small batch clothing manufacturer that can produce orders from 100 to 5000 units, perfect for samples or small apparel collections. We produce all orders in-house with our knowledgeable, detailed industrial sewers.
